I am an alcoholic, I’m a member of the Lunch Bunch Group, my sobriety date is February 26th, 2009, and my name is Sherri.

If you missed the workshops, I would like to introduce our Delegate Tom, who later on in new business will be sharing with us his experience and expand on what happened at the 72nd General Service Conference. Also, if you are new, I have an information sheet up here titled; “If You’re New, You May Be Asking”, and it has a brief explanation about the conference, why we need them, and what conference agenda items are. Just come on up and grab one whenever you want. A reminder that today’s business meeting will be abbreviated, we will not have verbal committee reports but they will all appear in full in the minutes. Except for Carry the Message Day, Fritz will be giving a report as he has important updates and planning meeting announcements.

July Assembly is next weekend, the 22nd – 24th and flyers are on the table with all the details and information you need. If you haven’t reserved a room yet and still want to, believe it or not, it’s not too late, please contact hotelinfo@area15aa.org to be placed on the waitlist. If you did reserve a room and want to cancel it, or transfer to someone else please contact hotelinfo@area15aa.org so we don’t lose the room from our room block and then it can be given to someone on the waitlist. People on the waitlist almost always get a room, sometimes it is the week of the Assembly, just have patience. Since this assembly is right next door in Miami, you can always drive down early Sunday morning for the business meeting, but please be in the room, seated and signed in by 8:45 as the business meetings start promptly at 9:00. Your Registrar and I need to have everyone counted for voting purposes. The banquet committee is asking for your help with banquet tickets, please if you are able to support the banquet, get your tickets ASAP. They have made it very easy to do via Venmo.

We will conduct the usual elections for General Service Representatives and Alternate District Committee Members if there are any that are rotating down the service triangle.

Committee Chairs, I sent an email out to all of you asking if there was something your committee could use. That perhaps you have put off because it would go outside of your budgets? I still, have had only 2 responses. We will be closing that window soon and making our contributions.

Your 65th Florida State Convention is just 17 days away!!! August 3rd – 7th 2022. It’s not too late to pre-register if you haven’t already, if you want a nice, large font, pre-printed badge with your name on it (instead of a peel and stick label on your badge) then just go to 65.floridastateconvention.com and register online and your packet will be ready when you arrive. You can still sign up to volunteer, as there are many committees that still need help. Don’t forget to add on your sports tickets and your merchandise, order all that online as well and avoid the lines. Unfortunately banquet and ice cream social tickets are sold out.
