Good Afternoon, I am an alcoholic, member of the Good Morning God group, my sobriety date is February 26th, 2009, and my name is Sherri.
I am so sorry I could not be with you all today; I was needed at work and Thank you Jackie for having my back and reading my report.
If you are new here today, Welcome to District 9 General Service! Please check the chat for a link to today’s agenda so you can follow along. It’s full of great information you can take notes on and bring back to your groups, but most important, please keep coming back so we can continue to do whatever we can to help you, help your groups!
Feel free to unmute when it’s time to welcome new members, congratulate newly elected members and birthday celebrants, let’s be interactive and show some love, we are not a glum lot, just don’t forget to mute again when you’re finished.
We will hold district elections later for; an Archives Chair, a Grapevine Chair and for General Service Representatives as well as Alternate District Committee Members if there are any rotating down the triangle.
Cassie did an awesome job putting on a double header for us, with a mixed “Old & Early Timers” Meeting that was held virtually on May 1st, Thank you Cassie and all your helpers.
Just a reminder that our General Service Assembly being held July 16th – 18th will be 100% virtual.
For those of you who are feeling more comfortable getting out and about, the 64th Florida State Convention in Jacksonville could really use your support. The Convention is August 5th – 8th, go to www.64.floridastateconvention.com to get all the information you need!
It has now been confirmed with our contacts at Nova that we will not be going back to in person meetings or events there for the remainder of this year. As much as we miss being in person, we are able to take care of all the business we need to just the way we are right now, and most important, everyone can participate and feel safe.
I am incredibly grateful to all of you who continue to serve, thank you for all you do.
Please don’t hesitate to send your comments, questions or concerns to any of us, we are here to serve you. I can be reached by email at: chairperson@district9aa.org or by phone at: (954) 681-2309.
Gratefully serving District 9, where A.A. is Divine.
